“If Cheyenne were to break their agreement, then Quinn could respond in a number of ways.” She opened her mouth to speak again and Cián held his hand up. “Hold on I’m not skirting the issue I’m just laying the foundation.”
Cián knew he had to put this in a way that she would not be worried about it or him. It wasn’t something he had intended to tell her now. There were times that he had the urge to get her attention but so far, he was able to redirect or get his point across without smacking her butt. But his woman was spoiled enough to eventually cross the line he couldn’t ignore. He had hoped that would be after they were engaged.
“He’d probably smack her butt.”
“You mean, he’d spank her? He’d spank her like she was a little girl who was just being defiant or breaking the rules? He’d spank his wife?”
It was obvious that Molly couldn’t get her brain around that concept. She wasn’t the only one. His own sister, Kelli, had had a difficult time with the fact that she’d grown up with spanking as a viable solution to defiance. Ma said she was the one who stayed out of trouble because just the threat of a spanking put her in hiding. Kelli had sworn she’d never marry or have a relationship with a man who held the same values as the men in her family. Now, if what he heard was the truth, Kelli would soon be engaged to Parker Jamison who subscribed to the same general methods as the rest of them to keep their sweethearts safe.

Molly didn’t straighten up in her seat, and she drew her hand out from between his to cross her arms in front of her again. She showed the best rendition of a petulant woman that he’d seen in a while. He knew if he were any of his brothers, or if their relationship were further along, he’d be giving her a warning.
Cián paused his thinking for a moment. He wasn’t doing Molly or their relationship any favors if he but didn’t explain this very vital part of who he was. If he had hopes that she would fall madly in love with him, and he did, he owed it to Molly to be honest now, no matter the fallout.
