Her Papa spun her until she was in front of him, held in his arms as he began skating backwards. Even when you've been…" She paused, shaking her head. "You two always seem so happy. Do you think I will ever find a man who makes me that happy?"
"I hope so, Ettie. If you find a man half as good as your brother, I can promise that your life will be wonderful even if he gives you a tender arse when you're naughty."
"Lucy!" Ettie said and then giggled. "I love you so much because you are always honest about who you are. Thank you."
The conversation didn't go further as Lucas skated up to them and held out his hand. "Please, may I have this skate?"
Ettie giggled and managed to give a curtsy despite the slick ice. "It would be my pleasure, sir."
Lucy watched as brother and sister took a turn around the pond. She'd never been good at lying or pretending to be someone she wasn't. Besides, every member of her Papa's family was well aware that she often had a tender bottom. And, if Ettie truly was thinking of becoming a woman who gave more of herself than most wives, it didn't seem right to keep at least the basic facts of what that life would require from her.

Getting to know Maggie Ryan:
Maggie lives in the Lone Star state with her wonderful husband and writes both contemporary erotica and historical spanking romances. She creates characters that enjoy the provocative D/S lifestyle of today’s times as well as ones that live in the Victorian era, with age-play as a theme.
Maggie has always loved reading. Growing up in a family with four children, it was difficult finding a place to be alone so she spent hours in the tub so she could read without being bothered. She was probably one of the squeakiest clean girls on the planet. It wasn’t long before she began to make up her own endings to the books she read. From there, she began to write her own stories.
Not wanting to pigeonhole herself, she likes to write in many genres, capturing the many delicious possibilities out there and inside her head. She admits to being somewhat of a romantic though as her stories always must have a great deal of love, passion, corporal discipline and, of course, great, mind-blowing sex. She wants her readers to be able to see, hear, feel and know the characters that she is creating as well as she does as she as she brings them to life and transfers their stories to paper.
