Exciting news and a free novella!

I’m bursting with excitement about my upcoming series with the hope that you will enjoy and lose yourself in them.

The fantasy world of Admiral Kai Grenville and Princess Gael in Bound to the Admiral , (Book 1 in the Lighthouses of Devmaer series) was inspired by a trip down the Oregon Coast last year and fueled by my overactive, somewhat twisted, imagination. It’s a departure from my contemporary romances, yet I know fans of those books will recognize my hallmarks of romantic, spicy, power exchange relationships.

Here’s a sample to whet your appetite:

Gael had barely taken two steps when Kai was on her. Taking her by the right hand, he led her to a stone bench, hidden in the shadows of the castle wall. She dug her heels in and tried to resist but he was too strong for her.
“You’ve been asking for this all night.” His voice was as severe as a judge’s.
Gael glanced around, knowing what was coming, horrified at the notion that someone might see. Mild relief that they were alone was short-lived.
“You can’t—” Her heart raced.
Without another word, Kai sat on the bench and wrenched her over his knees. The force of the man was like being caught in a tornado. Trying to right herself back onto her feet was pointless and her arms wind-milled as he pushed her into position. Her indignant protests were ignored, and she breathed in shallow gasps.
Bouncing her from one knee to the next, he easily lifted her half-raised skirt above her waist, arranging her gown for his convenience. Then he grabbed the waistband of her panties and pulled them down around her knees with a single yank. Immediately the cool evening air brushed Gael’s exposed posterior. Angry, humiliated, and unexpectedly aroused all at the same time, she pressed her thighs together, hanging on to the last shred of modesty left to her.
“Are you a spoiled brat?” Kai asked, drawing small circles on her bottom with one hand. His other hand anchored her in place.
Gael stayed silent, hoping that rendering her helpless would be enough for him. He was so tall that when she was suspended over his knees, neither her hands nor her feet reached the ground. She was completely and utterly under his control.
“I asked you a question.” Kai punctuated his words with a stinging smack.

In the meantime, I’m delighted to offer you a fun, free novella, Festive Fire, a contemporary Christmas romance. It was briefly featured in my newsletter late last year and due to the positive feedback received, I’m hoping those who haven’t read it yet will give it a try. Here is a quick peek inside:

For a year Roxy’s life has been torn apart by lies and innuendos. As Christmas approaches, she finds herself inescapably forced to endure the company of the very people who nearly destroyed her. She reminds herself that they are all working for the same good fundraising cause and soldiers on.

Her coping mechanisms for this nightmare situation include working non-stop, swearing off men, and occasionally climbing into a bottle. On one particular night, where her frustrations allow the wine to take a lead in the battle, she attempts to drive home. Fortunately, Jax-the-gorgeous-fireman, has been watching her throughout the evening. He steps in and prevents a disaster.

Jax finds her adorable and witty, but in need of a trip over his knee and some strong guidance.

To her surprise, Roxy finds Jax’s dominance makes her melt in more than one place.
Will she feel the same when she is sober and Jax is laying down the law? Or will Jax run when the rumors reach him?

Sadie will be the perfect woman for Simon, if she can learn to obey his rules.

More:

Sadie Donohue has been raised by an ardently feminist mother to be captain of her own soul, master of her own destiny. With a good job and a loyal BF, her life is neatly sorted, with or without a man at her side.

Enter Simon Jacobson, a widower for the past six years. He has encountered Sadie socially and decided she is just the one to bring warmth back to his life. The only problem is Simon’s mandated code of behaviour for any woman who wants to share his bed and considerable wealth.

On their first date, Sadie thinks he’s kidding when he says he is going to spank her for her impudence in the restaurant. Initially she rebels against his controlling demands only to discover that he means what he says. She can expect to be over his knee whenever she misbehaves. A clash of wills ensues until everything collapses when Simon oversteps his promise of restraint in one discipline session. Sadie has to decide if she can live with his unyielding and sometimes unpredictable need for obedience or if the life of a single woman would be more serene.

Publisher’s Note: Simon Says is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.
