Jamie Phillips is new to my blog today. As long as they can remember, the Phillips have been interested in reading and spanking, particularly romantic spanking. They think Mr. Knightley's verbal spanking of Emma in Jane Austen's book of the same name is the best there is anywhere. They say they're showing their age that they can remember the long ago days when it was easy to have both interests met in a large number of regular books. Eventually, their interest in reading became an interest in writing and that naturally led to writing spanking romances.
Married with two grown children they live in central Canada when they're not traveling, which is often. If they're not reading or writing, they can usually be found outside with a camera looking to capture perfect images of landscapes and wildlife.
The details of Jamie’s latest book, Forceful Engagement from Blushing Books are here for your enjoyment:
Engagements weren't all sweetness and light in Regency England, particularly if the young lady was annoyingly willful and the gentleman used to having his command's obeyed.

Blurb: British Army officer, Valentine (Val) Calvert, has become Viscount Calvert on the death of his older brother. With Napoleon in exile and peace restored, Val buys himself out of the army to try and restore his family's estate -- ruined by the mismanagement of his father and older brother. Val now has a title but he's virtually penniless so, on the advice of his cousin and against his own instincts, he accepts that marrying into a moneyed family is the best solution.
Although headstrong and outspoken, Rebekah Meadowes is the obvious choice because her family is the Calvert family bankers. But her willfulness and fiery personality have rebuffed all previous potential suitors. It would be a marriage of convenience for both of them -- her father's money, his father's title. She would get a title; he would get money enough to repair the family fortune. The deal is made, but not before Val has taught Rebekah a few stinging lessons in curbing her temper and her tongue.
They marry and begin the one sure goal they share, to restore the Calverton Estate to its former glory. Soon however, the couple must confront a dangerous mystery. Val has suddenly become accident prone and Rebekah is forced to take matters into her own hands to keep her husband safe. What was a marriage of convenience becomes something more as the couple challenge a common enemy. But will Rebekah's wily ways save Val? And how will he react to his wife plotting behind his back? Will they find the mysterious enemy in time? And will love win out in the end?
Excerpt: (PG-13)
A red veil seemed to lie between him and Rebekah. He sprang to his feet, crossed the floor swiftly to where Rebekah sat smirking at how cleverly she’d denounced him and the wickedness of armed conflict.
“You may insult me as much as you choose, Miss Meadowes,” Val said, grasping her arm and hauling her to her feet. “But I won’t stand idly by and let anyone disparage and slander our army.” Before Rebekah could even remonstrate or protect herself, he swatted her behind.
“Ow,” Rebekah squeaked and wriggled her behind away. He was not to be so easily evaded. In a moment, she was hauled around and another smart smack landed on her backside. Modern styles didn’t give a lady’s bottom any protection, was the idiotic thought that slipped into her mind; old-fashioned hooped skirts would have saved her. “Stop,” she cried, as yet another smack echoed around the room and made her hop ridiculously.
