Cinderella's Lawman by Pippa Greathouse

Pippa Greathouse is back today with Cinderella’s Lawman book 3 in The Strasburg Chronicles. This book is selling fast and collecting great reviews. Here’s why:

He gave her an ultimatum: Be obedient or face the consequences.

Blurb Feisty little schoolteacher, Cinderella Barton, is quite tired of Deputy Henson Andrews telling her what to do. She came to Strasburg to take her first teaching position, and he begins lecturing her the first week, despite her efforts to ignore him. She moves from one boarding home to another, and at the end of the school year, she is forced to move into "Lady Angelica's Home Away from Home for Ladies," in the middle of the night for safety. Once there, she finally feels safe for the first time in months.

Henson becomes more and more determined that she will not ignore him any longer, especially when it comes to his efforts to keep her safe. It irritates him no end when she manages to put herself in harm's way. When she completely disregards his orders - with a bear in the area - and someone shoots at her through the window of the schoolroom after he ordered to stay away from it, his patience runs out. He finally decides to take her firmly in hand - and marry her - if he has to!

When one shooting becomes two and a kidnapping follows, Henson becomes even more determined to find out who was behind it. The main problem, however, is keeping his beautiful little wife obedient and safe. Keeping her safe - he is trying his best... but keeping her obedient? Henson begins to wonder just how many trips Cinderella will have to take across his knee before he will accomplish that task.

Publisher's Note: Cinderella’s Lawman contains mild sexual scenes and the discipline of an adult woman. Please do not purchase this book if this offends you.

Excerpt:

It had happened suddenly, and she gasped, beginning to fight, but was held fast, by his hand on her lower back.

“Henson! Release me—instantly—“

“Oh no, little missy. You have tried my patience all day long today, and I have had it with you. It is time that you learn I mean what I say. Do you understand me?”

He now was lifting her skirts and petticoats, and raising them upward

“Henson! Stop that—Henson, please!”

But in answer, he brought down a large hand, hard, on her bottom. Covered only with her pantaloons now, that had a split up the back, she squealed.

“Oh! Stop it!”

“I asked you a question, little missy. And I will keep this up until I get an answer.”

“Oh! No. Henson! Please—stop!” But his hand kept coming down. She was wiggling desperately, trying to move out of his grasp.

“Henson, I cannot handle this! Please!”

“I’m still waiting for my answer, Cinderella, and trust me, I can keep it up all day long.” His hand kept descending and she froze, over his lap.

“Cinderella?”

Still, she did not move.

“Talk to me, young lady.”

“Henson?”

“What?”

“I—I cannot remember the question…”  her voice was small now.

Five smacks later, he stared down at the wiggling little bottom that he held over his knee, finding himself terribly distracted. He wondered if he could remember it himself.

More about the author:

Pippa Greathouse has been writing since the fifth grade, after each student was given an assignment to read aloud a story to the class of her their writing.  One horrified teacher later and a class of students who thought the horror story was “cool,” and she was hooked.

She is married, and has two fantastic children, who have grown and left the nest.

Since then, the writing has continued.   She now is an author for Blushing Books, and still loves what she does. Her favorite genre is writing historical fiction romances, where men are “strong, Alpha men” and their feisty ladies respond to that. And historical fiction is perfect for that! However, she also loves writing contemporary romantic fiction.

#SatSpanks - No Mercy

Welcome to my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do. Sadie has just put herself into danger – contrary to Simon’s very specific rules – and been assaulted. She has no serious injuries but has been shaken up.

Kevin and the policewoman made a tactful exit, closing the door behind them. When Sadie turned her face up at Simon, two tears leaked down her cheeks.

“I’m sorry,” she said.

“I know you are, babe,” he hugged her.

She waited a few seconds before asking quietly, “Does that mean you’re not going to spank me for disobeying you today?”

“No. Why would it mean that?” He smiled tightly, trying to lighten the mood but her headstrong, defiant ways worried him deeply. “You don’t think you get off that easy do you, my recalcitrant bride?”

#SatSpanks - Mind Your Manners

Welcome to my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do.

In this scene Sadie is over Simon’s knee (again). She has spoken to him with a sharp, disrespectful tone and he’s letting her know that is unacceptable:

“In future if you want me to do something a certain way, you might frame your suggestions as questions, not as blunt orders. Do I make myself clear?” [he asked]

“Completely.”

“What do you think will happen if you speak to me again in that manner?”

“I will end up over your knee.”

“As a minimum. I may be tempted to wash your mouth out with soap, so be careful. Be very careful.”

My eyes popped open at this new peril. I stared at the carpet below me, at the edge of the bedspread, at my shoes lying where I kicked them off before my shower. I told myself he was bluffing. He would never do that. Would he?
