Sadie Says I Do

#SatSpanks - after the vows

Happy December everyone! I’m not quite sure how we got here so fast. It seems like just last week we were picking blackberries and swimming in the lake. Still, I love this season: the music, the parties, and the surprises it brings.

That’s why in my book, Sadie Says I Do, Simon and Sadie have a December wedding. Here they are after the ceremony and celebrating is over:

We spent the first night of our married life in our new home. We’d both had our fill of airports and hotel rooms for the year. In our cozy bedroom, Simon set a fire while I watched.

“Present the hairbrush,” he said as he sat back and watched the flames lick around the logs.

I hesitated, perhaps unwisely. “Why?” I asked, unaware of having broken any rules.

“Reason number one,” he said and nodded toward the bathroom where the Maison Pearson was kept.

I brought the hairbrush, thinking of how sometimes spankings were the worst idea ever, but I kept my thoughts to myself. Simon laid it beside him on the bed and nodded at me, the sign for me to submit.

I dropped my panties, lifted my skirt, and crawled over his lap for one of the gentlest spankings ever. He only used his hand. A ten-year-old with a sprained wrist could have done worse.

“Why do I do this?” His voice was light with laughter.

“Because you love me.”

“When will I shop doing this?”

“Never, I hope.”

“Correct.” He delivered two sharp swats to the top of my thighs and said, “Sit on the floor, in front of me. I want to free your hair.”

Carefully and painstakingly he undid my complicated hairdo, stacking up the hairpins in a pile and placing the roses and holly leaves in a row beside them. Finally he used the Maison Pearson hairbrush to comb out the tangles and brush away the gel and spray that held it together.

#SatSpanks - The Whole Box and Dice

Today is the release of the Simon in Charge box set from me and Blushing Books. It includes the three books in the Simon in Charge series: Simon Says, Winning Sadie, and Sadie Says I Do.

To celebrate the occasion, I’ve been rereading the start of the adventure, Simon Say. It’s Simon and Sadie’s first date.

"Try this." My date handed me his fork with a lump of Brussels sprouts speared on the end.

"Uh, no thanks," I said. "I don't do green." […]

He set down his knife and fork. "Young woman, you should be put over someone's knee and spanked." A burning blush crawled up my neck and I was certain he could see it even in the darkened corner of the restaurant.

"That's not going to happen," I said and studied my plate. I could barely swallow. Electricity buzzed up and down my spine. […]

"We'll see about that," he said with a dazzling smile. A slight note of censure in his voice made me feel as guilty as if he'd caught me trying to slip the silverware into my purse.

Here are some readers’ thoughts on the books in the box set:

Simon Says

·        Five stars for Simon Says, the first book of the "Simon In Charge" series; I loved it! A delightful couple, featuring Simon, a dominant, alpha, man who is used to-- and determined to--rule the world, starting with Sadie. Simon is a widower who, when he finally found Sadie, was determined to keep her safe, and encourage her to take care of herself. They adore each other, and although he seems quite a stern and controlling man, does it out of a desire to keep her safe. Sadie, quite unprepared for him to be as strict as he was, wasn't quite sure how to react. I loved this precious love story, and highly recommend it!

·        “[The story] offered a taste of 50 Shades of Grey, with the strict Dom and the new-to-this sub. I read this book in one sitting, not wanting to stop until the end.

·        “Simon is definitely the Master of his Own Destiny and Sadie is my kind of girl - a combination of sweet and sass who can hold her own against Simon.”

·        “Simon had me practically drooling, and Libby Campbell had me turning the pages fast. I highly recommend this book. It's a delightful read - fun, sexy, and fresh.”

Winning Sadie

·        Both Simon and Sadie go through a lot of growth in this story, which is a page-turner with a fantastic subplot in addition to the romance story between them. This book easily stands alone, but the first book sets it up wonderfully. Loved it!

·        This well-written book is a great follow-up to Simon Says, the book in which the story of the extremely dominant Simon and not so submissive Sadie began. Instead of a simple HEA, the author created a realistic journey for the pair, fraught with insecurity and conflict. I enjoyed the sincerity of Sadie's doubts about a lasting relationship with Simon as well as the unwavering devotion that Simon demonstrated. Their vulnerability is raw at times and the plot is emotional, but is lightened by humor and the knowledge that their love is true. I'm looking forward to the next book.

·        If you liked ‘Fifty Shades,’ you will worship ‘Winning Sadie.’ Libby Cambell has a powerful writing style that triggers all the emotions and sucks you right into the story from beginning to end. An excellent and satisfying read.

·        Action packed romance filled story This is a must read if you like your heroines feisty sweet and strong and your Hero's strong Alpha males who know how to love their woman and how to take them in hand when need then you don't want to miss this story

Sadie Says I Do

·        Don't you just love a book where the characters are multi-dimensional? It just makes it that much more real. In this book, Simon is very much a dominant alpha male. As is true to life, Simon does have a vulnerable side...his undying love for adorable and strong-willed Sadie. This witty and romantic tale is full of steaminess to keep you entertained.

·        Ms Campbell has set the bar very high with this one folks! This story has our girl working for the domineering man as we all love to see. Of course he rarely allows her any leeway when it comes to her smart mouth or sassy ways that always land her in her favorite position! But will she be able to get her past and her present reconciled in her own mind at least before the wolves that are circling to destroy what they are both working so hard to build together? This is a must read and a get comfortable because you won't want to put it down once you start!

·        I loved this book and read it straight through. Simon is one of the sternest and most intense HoH's that I've read. He's so dominant and in control that sometimes I feel like he needs to take a chill pill, but I can't say that he doesn't rev my engine. He obviously does the same for Sadie, though she chafes under his control often, giving Simon plenty of reasons to turn her disobedient backside over his lap. His rules mostly revolve around safety, but he also insists on proper and respectful behavior. The sex scenes, like the spanking scenes, leave nothing to be desired. I recommend this book for domestic discipline enthusiasts. Enjoy the ride!

·        This book was awesome. Once I started I couldn't put it down. A new layer was added to the already deep characters of Sadie and Simon. By switching back and forth between perspectives, the author was able to give incredible insight into both characters that's typically limited to only one. Throughout the story I always knew how each felt and their most intimate thoughts. And what a great story it was. The plot brought all sorts of emotions and held my interest constantly. Best of all, the amazing style in which this book was written kept me smiling as I was transported into Simon and Sadie's world and took their journey with them. The author created visualizations so real that I feel like I just watched a movie.

#SatSpanks - Settling the Score

Another Saturday and another Saturday Spankings blog hop – thanks for joining us! Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do where Simon and Sadie have moved into their new home. Simon is finally ready to finish Sadie’s punishment for her irresponsible behavior on the weekend. Sadie is bent over his desk:

Do you deserve to be spanked for acting like a schoolgirl on a spree last Saturday night?” He removed his hand from my back.

“I do.” I’d regretted that foolishness all week. “If I could do it over, I promise you I would drink nothing stronger than a virgin Caesar. Really I’m sorry.”

“Sorry doesn’t help, does it?” He spoke while standing behind me, without making physical contact. Disembodied spankings, where he stayed out of my line of vision, made me feel abandoned, being unable to see, smell, or feel him between swats. He did that deliberately, to keep me focused on the punishment, not on the intimacy.

He lifted my long tunic top and twisted it up around my waist before yanking my leggings and panties down to my ankles in a single move. Having my breasts flattened on the surface of the desk and my toes pushed against the edge of it forced my hips high and put my bum on display in a way that was deeply humiliating. I was livestock waiting to be inspected, branded, touched by her master’s hand. The air of the room felt cool on my skin.

“You have a beautiful ass,” he said, rubbing my buttocks. “Nice strong legs, too.” His hand ran from my thighs to my knees and up again, only stopping when the doorbell rang.

#SatSpanks - Debt reduction

Another Saturday and another Saturday Spankings blog hop – thanks for joining us! Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do where Sadie's misbehavior has caused her to lose her engagement ring. That’s not all, of course. This is Sadie we’re talking about.

Still, she’s anxious about a lot of things, including their new house and upcoming wedding. Simon has postponed her punishment for now but sees how tense she is:

“I think I have something that will relax you,” he said, his voice teasing.

“What?” I asked, trying to pull away.

He held on tight and lifted my left hand. “I keep looking at your empty ring finger.”

A hot tide of guilt burned up my neck. I couldn’t claim innocence this time.

“I’m going to give you a gentle taste of what is to come later this week, earned by your disobedience over the weekend.” Simon motioned me to assume the position

“But aren’t my self-inflicted injuries enough for now?” I arranged myself in angle across his lap, my chest resting on the bed, arms stretched out in front of me. I wasn’t brave enough to risk penalty strokes for not complying.

“Think of this as starting to pay down your spanking debt, which is considerable at this time.”

#SatSpanks Simon's dilemma

Thank you for joining the Saturday Spankings blog hop. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do where Sadie’s behavior has created a bit of a dilemma for Simon.

“What are you thinking about?” I stuffed some noodles into my mouth.

“That you’ve created a complex problem of right and wrong. I’m thinking about how you will be punished for it.”

“How about putting it into the too hard basket and moving on?” I asked with more hope in my voice than I actually felt.

“Good try but you know that’s not going to happen. I’m going to give it some thought and we’ll settle the major part of the debt when I’ve reached a decision. We’ll clear it soon. I wouldn’t want my parents to arrive and find you all jumpy because you’re worried about what’s going to happen to your backside.”

“What if I’m all jumpy because my backside is so sore?”

“That doesn’t usually make you jumpy. Even though you may not be comfortable sitting for a while, you’re usually very calm after a good spanking. Obviously you’ve missed the benefit of regular sessions so we need to think about resuming these after we’ve settled these outstanding issues.”

Welcome to my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do. Continuing from last week, Sadie is trying to weasel her way out of a spanking. Simon is having none of it.

“I know you’re sore and sorry and will be for a while but you misbehaved and put yourself at risk, so you definitely have earned a good paddling. Not right away but we can address this issue a little later.”

“You’re going to make me wait and wonder what’s coming?” She pulled out a tissue and blew her nose.

“Waiting for punishment can be an important time for reflection.”

“That’s mean.”

“That’s life. It’s certainly life with me anyway and that should be no surprise by now.” Her rubbed her arm and kissed her again.

“Are you going to spank me tonight?” Her voice sounded childish and meek.

“God no. I’m not a monster.”

“Says who?” She grinned.

#Sat Spanks - Facing the Music

Welcome to my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do. Sadie has just come home after a night out with the girls, celebrating her upcoming marriage. It’s the middle of winter and she’s carrying her shoes. She's three sheets to the wind.

Simon blew air from his lungs. “What were my final words at you left for the evening?”

“I don’t remember. That was hours ago.” […]

“I said, stay relatively sober.”

“I didn’t pass out, did I?” I reached for a face cloth. […]

Simon frowned. “Not passing out is hardly a measure of sobriety. But you’re in no condition to talk about this tonight. We’ll discuss it tomorrow.” […]

After I brushed my teeth, he made me sit on the edge of the bath. He ran a small pool of lukewarm water and washed my feet. When he washed them the night before, his touch had been sensual and provocative. Tonight it was loving and protective, slightly paternal. I kissed the top of his head. “I love you,” I said.

He looked at me with tired eyes. “I love you too, even when you act as irresponsibly as a child and need a sound spanking.”

#SatSpanks - Sweet submission

Welcome to my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do. It’s the start of the nightly spankings Simon has promised Sadie.

Simon sat in the big armchair in the window, waiting for Sadie to present herself. She’d looked at him shyly as she headed for a bath and that soft submissive glance had made his cock harden. He loved it when her natural impudence was stilled temporarily by the anticipation of a spanking.

[…]

When at last she peeked out from the ensuite, he put down the computer and arranged his legs, ready for her.

“Come,” he said. “But leave the nightie on. I like the way it doesn’t cover you much at all.”

Sadie blushed and crawled over his knees. He lifted the short hem of the nightie, pleased to find she wasn’t wearing as much as a G-string underneath it. When she was compliant without being told, his lust for her spiked.

“Good girl,” he said, with a sigh of appreciation, rubbing her soft white skin.

#SatSpanks - Living with Uncertainty

Thank you for visiting my Saturday Spankings blog where naughty women pay their dues. Today’s excerpt is from Sadie Says I Do.

In this scene, Sadie has just copped a very sound spanking for being tardy yet again:

At fifty he stopped and left me dangling across his knees.

“This is a shade of red I like very much,” he murmured, rubbing my smarting backside. “It’s the red of repentance. Maybe we should do this nightly for a while, to reinforce your memory of the need to obey.”

He said the word maybe to lull me into a sense of false security that this nightly ritual might be hypothetical but I knew as soon as the idea was stated, he would implement it. Worse still I knew that he would expect me to ask him for the spankings, to prove my compliance. A dam inside me broke and my small sobs broke into shuddering jags of meek submission.

Simon eased me up and onto his lap. He cradled me in his arms and nestled my head against his chest. “You’re going to be okay,” he said. “I know it’s hard for a spirited girl like you to heed the reins, but I only want to tame your behavior, not break your spirit.”
