My book, Holding Cynthia is about an independent, willful Cynthia who is fast falling love with Antony. They are sitting at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the ocean before she gets her first spanking:

“Finish your coffee,” Antony said softly.

The silence that filled the car after that exchange was mellow, undramatic. The dog walkers, hikers, and other tourists that walked past them would have seen nothing remarkable in the two people in the dusty car. How many would have suspected they were looking at an adult couple drinking coffee before they went back to their guest house for an afternoon of domestic discipline? No one. Cynthia was sure of that.

As she slipped her cup into the cup holder, she shook, feeling light-headed. Antony put his large, warm hand over hers.

“You need this, you know you do.”

Cynthia bowed her head, remembering how grateful she’d been when Antony had rescued her. A spanking would be a small price to pay for that.
